My Team was formed in class on the 1st April and the teacher present was Mark Grant, during the lesson we were told to get into different groups of 5 so people went and gathered in their groups, so when people have formed their groups I found my self to be with Beyanka, Jahcentre and Karadai.
Functional teams are teams which are created in order to carry out a particular function withing a business e.g. The financial department, who works together to stay on top of the businesses finance.
Leadership teams would be a companies board or directors or could be a team which consist of the managers grouped up in order to align production with the businesses missions and visions.
Quality circles are a team of people who aim the keep the company as efficient as it can be by looking out for any problems which need to be addressed to the managers. their role is to raise awareness of any issues and improve the performance of the company.
Task forces would be a group of people who would be dedicated to a particular project at hand, so the group should work cohesively.
In order to Put together a cohesive team that work well the member need to have a wide rang of skills as it is always takes individuals to form a group. So when you looking for your team members they need to have strong skills on the areas which you are not so strong, e.g.
- Plants - usually unorthodox
- Resource Investigators - could forget to follow up leads
- Monitor Evaluators - can be overly critical and move slowly
- Co-ordinators - aim to get jobs allocated so would end up with little work to do
- Implementers - slow to adapt or change mind but is in favour for positive change
- Completer Finishers - could be seen as perfectionist, but accurately follows through with their vision
- Teamworkers - can be indecisive in making decisions with unpopular proposals
- Shapers - make things happen, can be aggressive or bad humoured in their attempts
- Specialist - focuses on their subject of knowledge
It is crucial to have a wide range of skills sets so depending on the task there is someone who is strong enough to step up and lead the group the a task based on their level of skill. So for example, the Resources investigators who may forget to follow up leads can work with the shapers who tend to make things happen and get tasks done. the complete finishers who tend to follow through precisely to their visions could do with someone who is unorthodox that would encourage them to think out of the box.

Jake Spencer - Team Leader & Finance,to organize the group by setting meeting's, coordinating who takes up each task, organizing the budget as I have good Mathematics skills & how its used and taking a lead in the completion of our project.
Karadai - Secretary, to organize all our documents that we need for our project like recording all our minutes and agenda's as she is good at recording and listening to information and relaying it into another format for documenting.
Beyanka - Production manager, works on producing our promotional material and also would work with the group in attaining our ingredients for our smoothies, as she is pro'active and wants to get the job done this is a good role for her to follow.
Jahcentre - Spokes person, who is meant to communicate with any of our business partners in order to attain valuable information and permission to carry out our event.

Plan for a business event
My Team plans on running an even which occurs on the 9th of June 2015 at Spitalfields farm which will start at 11am and finish at 2pm. We plan on selling smoothies at our event to the public hoping to encourage healthy living and the benefits of fruit and veg.
We understand we need to have clear Allergy protocol on the products we will be selling and to have Fresh and washed fruit going into smoothies clear of any damaged or bruised spots.
We'll have Posters set up at college and around the area of Spitalfields farm to bring in the locals to the farm.
